Women: the biggest liars?

Posted on: January 4, 2009

Who’s the biggest liar? women or men? To Chris Rock, my favorite stand-up comedian, men tell lies the most but it’s women who tell the biggest lies. Do you agree?

To Chris Rock men tell lies all the time; men say things like, “No baby, I went straight home from the office” or “I was thinking about you all the time at work.” But women tell the biggest lies like, “It’s your baby.”

Here’s what Rock got to say on this one on his HBO Special Bigger and Blacker:

Look at you, you got on heels, you ain’t that tall. You got on makeup, your face don’t look like that. You got a wig your hair ain’t that long. You got a wonderbra and your  titt*** ain’t that big. Everything about you is a lie and you expect me to tell the truth, fu** you!

For women out there, please don’t get offended; stand-up comedy can be harsh sometimes. But it always feels good if we can laugh together whether or not it’s true. Ha-ha-ha. Yes, let’s laugh together.

If Rock thinks that women are the biggest liars while men tell lies the most, I think that’s not always the case. Women and men can be liars as bad as they can be. I don’t think there has been any scientific research on this topic; an interesting one to be done. Anyone?

Sharon Stones also says “Women can fake the orgasm but men can fake the whole relationship” LOL

There’s a saying “Women’s heart is as deep as the ocean, they are able to keep secret into graveyard”

Or Bruce Springsteen’s song Secret Garden (Jerry Macguire OST) tells about a lady who has “secret garden”

To me….waiting the right moment to tell the truth is different from lying. Some might think it is a lie. Or it is my justification only??? LOL

Who lies most, who lies worst…
as long as the net results are the same…, doesn’t really matter.😀
we -women- do know how to catch up with men in the end… Lol.

Hwaha!! good one Tasa! I found an interesting piece of joke on this matter…

Friendship between Women:
A woman didn’t come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend’s house. The man called his wife’s 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Friendship between Men:
A man didn’t come home one night. The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend’s house. The woman called her husband’s 10 best friends, eight of which confirmed that he had slept over, and two said that he was still there.

Lesson learned: if man should tell lies, they always do it with better creativity and to serve a greater purposes. LOL…

Hmm..lying is natural. Men or women are the same on this matter. A couple enjoy living together, they both realize that they lie each other every day and every moment, however, they both are also afraid to tell the truth. They don’t want to say: “You lie to me!” because they don’t want to offend each other, and because they won’t be separated. So they keep to become liars since they enjoy it.

Don’t we also prefer to lie than to tell the truth? Because in the middle of liars, if we tell the truth, we are liar, aren’t we?
Hmmm…..

Good Blog. Already Link to your blog. thx

congratulations… for top ten blogger version fatihsyuhud.com

For what it’s worth, my wife loves that Chris Rock special just as much as I do … I guess she wasn’t offended! Check out his new HBO special if you can, which combines stand-up shows from New York, London, and South Africa …

cowok donk yg tukang bohong…itu udah jelas… XDDDD
you are guy… you should know it better than me.

this idea kick me so hard in (almost) a good way🙂 well, it’s surely ok because either i am somewhat a fan of satirical jokes. basically what chris rock said did rise its point, although those sentences must be spoken in such an inconvenient circumstance.

it is apparent that many psychology scientists have composed series of research related to this topic. for example we can see in this “Gender differences in deception” research which concluded that “men are significantly more
likely than women to lie to secure a monetary benefit.”

hey! that was a gd read! n ur rite im nt offended hehe its always gd 2 laugh tgther..🙂

salam for you all.
hai tasa..good posting as it shows the way how the people like Chris Rock think about the lies between men and women. it is something that i never come across. at the first glance, i don’t really understand what they (writings) really mean, but finally i got it. so i finally smile and get to know the critical thinking. yes, women tend to behave attractive even they have to dress something which is not really fit for her. it is done just be attractive. but, i think this could happen to men too.

but yes, there is white lie and black lie, it depends on situation.
anyway, thanks for introducing a new angle of thinking.
ahmad.

Maybe. Because most women are melancholic-type. A personality type which is always try to make everyone happy. I think the liar stuff is only an effort to make other being happy (a.k.a. white lie? But still, white lie is wrong.) or just make keep herself away from negative image.

Just what a woman can say about this article🙂

I think women lie to help save grace and try to keep the peace. But the fact that a woman has to resort to lieing to help keep feelings from getting hurt is somewhat haunting and sad at the same time. I think it is always better to tell the truth because in the end the truth ends up coming out anyways…. Women, don’t feel like you have to hide and not tell the truth at the sparity of someones feelings. The end result of a lie is much worse then just being honest. Thank you all!
